Betty Ross Vanderpool, 76, of the 800 block of Southeast 80th Avenue died of a heart ailment Thursday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton’s Funeral Chapel, with burial at Vandalia Cemetery near Runnells.
Mrs. Vanderpool was born in Webster County and had lived in Des Moines many years. She was a retired office manager with Schall Heating and Cooling.
Survivors include a daughter, Trudy McAvoy of Rainbow, Calif.; a son, Michael Moylan, her mother, Esther Hall, and a sister, Pauline Quinn, all of Des Moines; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. today at the funeral chapel, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
