George J. Sterrenburg, age 86, formerly of Colfax, died Friday, May 6, 2005 in Tucson, Arizona.
Graveside memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. at Vandalia Cemetery.
George J. Sterrenburg was born on April 9, 1919 in Pella, Iowa.
On September 24, 1949 he was united in marriage to Eileen Ingle , they lived in Colfax in Colfax for 25 years.
On June 10, 1983, George married Yvonne Schroeder in Tucson, Arizona. George was a part owner at the Farmers Supply Store from 1949 until he moved to Arizona in 1975.
He is survived by wife Yvonne; three children, Carol A. McCoy, Patricia Dollins and John Schroeder as well as eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His parents, his first wife, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
