Services for Roy L. Smith, 64, of 3101 Kinsey Ave. will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Vandalia Foursquare Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in the cemetery at Vandalia.
Mr. Smith died Tuesday at Iowa Methodist Hospital after a two-week illness. Cause of death has not been determined pending results of an autopsy.
Mr. Smith, born in Vandalia, lived 37 years in Des Moines where he was a mechanic for the Rock Island Motor Transit Co., and a member of the International Association of Machinists Local 254.
Survivors include his sister, Mrs. Illo Fredregill of Des Moines, and a brother, Doyle of Silver Spring, Md.
