Joe Connett Funeral Set
Services for Joe Connett, 67, a resident of the Brown Nursing Home at 1039 Harding Road, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dahlstrom Funeral Home. Burial will be in Vandalia Cemetery near Runnells. Mr. Connett died of arteriosclerosis Wednesday at the nursing home.
Born in Morgan Valley, he had been a Des Moines resident 23 years. He was employed at the Midwest Bag Co. before his retirement two years ago.
Mr. Connett was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Surviving are two sons, Roy and Bruce, both of Des Moines; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Martin of Des Moines and Mrs. Maude Cowart and Mrs. Martha Kastakos, both of San Diego, Cal.; and 20 grandchildren.
