Amanda Connett Funeral Monday
Services for Mrs. Amanda E. Connett, 76, of 2932 Lyon St., will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Grandview Park Baptist church, with burial in Vandalia cemetery. Mrs. Connett was dead on arrival Thursday at Iowa Lutheran hospital. She had been ill of asthma.
Born in Temperanceville, Ohio, she had lived in Des Moines 65 years and was a member of Grandview Park Baptist church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Oliver and Mrs. Marie Lowe, both of Des Moines, and Helen L. Connett of Pryor, Okla.; two sons, Harry L. and Charles E., both of Des Moines; five brothers, Robert Mott of Tracy, John Mott of Pleasantville, Jim Mott of Prairie City, Ford Mott of Vandalia, and Frank Mott of Minneapolis, Minn.; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie R. Pence and Mrs. Lou Barrier, both of Minneapolis, and Sara Mott of Des Moines, and two grandchildren.
