Clair, Ruby Edith Gulling – 1928-2000

Ruby E. Clair, 72, of the 3500 block of southwest Eighth Street, died of a respiratory ailment Thursday at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Southtown Funeral Home, with burial at Vandalia Cemetery in Runnells.
She had lived in Des Moines all her life. She had been a cook with Heritage Health Care Center and cared about everyone.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Crandall; a son, Keith Crandall, and a daughter, Wendy Pyykola, both of Des Moines; three sisters, Grace Langford of Williamson, May Williams of Colfax and Florence Wordwell of Shelton, Wash.; five brothers, Orville Gulling of Olympia, Wash., Gerald Gulling of Colfax, Don Gulling of Sparta, Mo., Floyd Gulling of Bedise, Texas, and Edward Gulling of Omaha; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Clair.
Friends may call from noon to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
