Eldon L. Brundage, 77, of Urbandale Health Care Center, 4614 N.W. 84th St., Urbandale, died of a respiratory ailment Saturday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Vandalia Cemetery.
Mr. Brundage was born in Worthington, Mo., and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was retired from Admiral Merchants, was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Teamsters and Grace Wesley Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Helen; two daughters, Jo Anna Houk and Sheryl Houk, both of Urbandale; a son, Michael of Des Moines; three stepsons and five stepdaughters; a sister, Thelma Byers of Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today after 4 p.m. today at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 9 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association.
