Vandalia Woman Dies
Vandalia – Mrs. Mitchell Brockett, 69, died in her home at Vandalia at 5:30 this morning, following a lingering illness.
Mrs. Brockett was a life long resident of Jasper county.
Surviving are her husband, two brothers, Homer Hays of Vandalia and Bill Hays of Van Meter and two sisters Stella Erskin of Vandalia and Mary Haines of California.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Vandalia News - Mr. and Mrs. Emery Erskin and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Watts of Des Moines visited in the home of their mother, Mrs. Stella Erskin and attended funeral services for Mrs. Brockett Feb. 6.
A group of friends helped L. M. Brockett celebrate his seventieth birthday Feb. 8.
