Sandra’s memorial service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the funeral home. Conducted by Pastor Chad Jennings of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Newton. A luncheon will follow the memorial service at 1 p.m. at the American Legion Post 111 in Newton.

Inurnment will be at the Sugar Grove Cemetery in rural Newton.

Memorials in Sandra’s name (please make checks payable to Brittany Burtlow) may be left at the funeral home.

Sandra Lee Huff Audas, the daughter of Leroy Huff and Wilma Locker Huff was born on February 17, 1965 in Oskaloosa, IA. She graduated from Newton High School in 1983 and earned her bachelor’s degree from William Penn University in 2012.

In 1985, She married Don Audas and shortly thereafter started a family welcoming their first daughter, Nicole, in May 1985. They lived in Newton, until 1994, growing their family by 2 more daughters, Cassandra, born in Nov 1986 and Brittany in Jan 1989.

In 1994 they moved to Lake Ponderosa in Montezuma, IA. Here they spent the next 8 years hosting family gatherings, boating, swimming, gardening and making memories. She loved to travel with her girls and best friend, Penny, and go on Motorcycle rides with her husband.

Sandra was known as “Mom” to all her girls’ friends and enjoyed spending time with her girls and her 6 beautiful grandbabies. She often hosted family dinners and loved to take her granddaughters shopping, roughhousing with her grandsons, and spoiling her fur grandbabies.

Sandra worked in Quality Assurance at BoDeans in LeMars for 4 years and had also worked at Maytag for 19 years prior.

Sandra passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in Vinton, IA. She was 56 years old. She was proceeded in death by her parents and best friend, Penny Merk.

Those left to cherish Sandra’s Memory are her daughters, Nicole Audas (Jerry Williams) of Creston. Brittany (Porter) Burtlow of Vinton, and Cassandra Audas of Corning; six grandbabies, Mackenzi, Makaila, Makaiden, Ryker, Caio & Maia; her grand dogs, Marley & Smucks; brother, Sam Huff of Newton, and sister, Suzette Huff Mounce of Waverly.
