Mingo – Mrs. Louis (Grace Merle) Archer, 77, of Mingo died Saturday, Dec. 19, at her home in Mingo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Jill Leveck, pastor of the Mingo United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the Mingo United Methodist church will be accepted.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday, Jan. 1.
Survivors are two sons, James L. of Des Moines and Evan of Mingo; four daughters, Mrs. Ted (Beatrice) Lint of Van Meter, Mrs. Michael (Lois) Martin of Ankeny, Mrs. Duane (Dorothy) Jackson of Des Moines and Mrs. Bill (Carolyn) Good of Mingo; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Sylvia Theison and Audrey Cook, both of DeQuin, Ill., and Ethel McCaslin of Eunice, N.M.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, a grandson and two brothers.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mingo.
The daughter of John and Florence Souck Routson, she was born June 7, 1907 in Runnells.
She was married Feb. 13, 1931.
