Vandalia News - Robert Anderson passed away at his home here Friday evening after a lingering illness since Thanksgiving morning.
Funeral services for Robert Anderson were held at the church Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Harriet McMurray from Des Moines conducted the services. Singing was furnished by Mrs. Mitch Brockett and Mrs. C. C. Gulling with Mrs. Albert Harmison at the piano. The remains were laid to rest in the Vandalia cemetery.

Those who survive include his widow and six children, Mrs. Belle Farrar of Vandalia, Mrs. Grace Brunner, Mrs. Sarah Brunner and Mrs. Lena White, all of Prairie City; Alex of Marshalltown, and Clifford of Newton.
