Services for Clarence F. Bowers, 74, of Mitchellville, who died of cancer Friday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mitchellville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Mr. Bowers was born in Prairie City and lived in Mitchellville most of his life. He was a retired trucker and farmer. Mr. Bowers was a member of Mitchellville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rose; a son, Robert of Eagle River, Alaska; a sister, Gladys Hargis of Mitchellville; two brothers, Lloyd of Newton and George of Des Moines; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at Mitchellville Funeral Home.
