Colfax – Funeral services for Mrs. Homer Dewey (Lilas B.) Wadsworth, 86, a longtime resident of Colfax, were held today, March 3, at the Colfax First Baptist church.
The Rev. Tom Mabe, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in the McKeever Cemetery north of Colfax.
Memorial contributions to the Colfax First Baptist Church will be accepted.
Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax handled arrangements.
She died Friday at the Clearview Manor in Prairie City.
Survivors are a son, Paul of Colfax; three daughters, Mrs. Lenard (Joye) Pierce, Mrs. Furley (Doris) Nichol and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Telfer, all of Colfax; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, a son and a great-grandchild.
Mrs. Wadsworth was a member of the First Baptist Church in Colfax and the Basket Club.
The daughter of O. C. and Bessie Diltz Brown, she was born Aug. 26, 1899 in Numa.
She was married May 1, 1920 in Cincinnati, Iowa.
