Albert J. Jensma Succumbs At 27; Rites Are Tentative
Prairie City – Albert J. Jensma, 27, succumbed unexpectedly early this morning at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jensma of Des Moines township about five miles southeast of Prairie City.
In poor health for six weeks, Mr. Jensma was found dead in bed by his parents. Jasper county coroner Ralph V. Toland, called to the home, attributed death to suffocation followed an attack suffered after 2’clock. At that time he had called to his mother, who was up, to bring cough medicine to a brother.
In addition to his parents he is survived by three brothers, Edward of Newton, Fred R. of Monroe and Howard H. at home; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Beyer and Mrs. Leora Van Zee, both of Prairie City, and several nieces and nephews.
A native of Jasper county, the decedent was born on a farm south of Metz on March 25, 1917.
Funeral arrangements have been tentatively made for Thursday afternoon in the Church of the Brethren at Prairie City.
