McKeever Rites Will Be Sunday
Colfax (Special) – Funeral services for Joseph Nathan McKeever, 71, a resident of Colfax and Jasper county for 60 years, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bumgardner funeral home.
The Rev. Frank Bobbitt, pastor of the Colfax Christian church, will officiate and burial will be in McKeever cemetery.
Mr. McKeever died Thursday at the Eastern Boulevard Nursing home in Des Moines.
Pallbearers will be Clark Mindham, Henry McKeever, William J. McKeever, Robert Dooley, George Gibson and Harry Gibson.
In charge of flowers will be Mrs. Harold Maxwell and Maralyn Reynolds.
The soloist, Gomer Williams, will be accompanied by Mrs. George Rinker.
Survivors include his wife, the former Minnie Gibson; two daughters, Mrs. Clifford Donaldson and Mrs. Clark Pierce, both of Colfax; two sons, William and Fred of Colfax; a sister, Mrs. Richard Dooley of Colfax and a brother, Milton McKeever of Des Moines.
The son of William Henry and Rosalee McKeever, he was born Sept. 12, 1883 at Elwood, Kan. He was a retired miner and farmer.
