Earl B. Touch Dies Sunday; Rites Wednesday
KELLOGG - Earl B. Tough, 85, of Rt 1, Kellogg, died Sunday evening at the St. Francis Manor in Grinnell.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Johnson Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. Carl E. Klein, pastor of the Kellogg United Methodist Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg.
Friends may call at the Johnson Funeral Chapel after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Memorial contributions to Future, Inc., of Newton will be accepted.
Survivors are his wife, Esther; a son, Donald Tough of Kellogg; two daughters, Mrs. Clair (Doris) Bahrenfuse of Kellogg and Mrs. Mary Parsons of Kellogg; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Edward Tough of Earlham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Robert, in 1942, two sisters and four brothers.
Mr. Tough, a farmer, was a member of the Pleasant View Church.
The son of James and Ellen Milne Tough, he was born June 21, 1889 in Kellogg and attended Buena Vista Township schools.
He was married to Esther Braley Jan. 25, 1916
