Harold D. Kintz Died Saturday At Iowa City
Harold D. Kintz, 19, died Saturday at the University hospital in Iowa City where he has been a patient for several weeks. Death was caused from a bone complication for which there was no cure.
Harold Dwain Kintz, son of Ivan and Flossie Kintz, was born Oct. 27, 1931 in Polk county, Iowa, and passed away July 28, 1951, at Iowa City, Iowa.
He attended the Colfax Public Schools, and worked as a produce helper at Dick’s Produce Co. here. In December of 1950, he was united in marriage to Betty Lamb, and is survived by his wife, his mother, Mrs. Flossie Donaldson, of Colfax, 2 brothers, Raymond Dean and Ernest LeRoy both of Colfax and four sisters, Penny Kintz of Colfax, Evelyn L. Borts and Clarissa J. Borts, both of Colfax and Mrs. Dorothy E. Gallegher of Portland, Oregon, besides two nieces and three nephews.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 Tuesday afternoon from the Bumgardner Funeral Home.
Rev. Bernard Waage, of the Baptist Church officiated and music was provided by Gomer Williams as soloist and Mrs. Frank B. Evans, pianist.
Pall bearers were Jerry Kunze, Joe Neibur, Robert Smith, John Williams, John Van Ekeren and Cecil McFay.
Interment was in the Kintz cemetery at Baxter, Iowa.
