Mr. Eli Cross who is well and favorably known in our city, died at his home in Des Moines Monday afternoon at 4 o’clock. His sickness was of short duration, death resulting from inflammation of the bowels. He leaves a family of four children, his wife died just twelve days ago. Mr. Cross was born in south Wales forty-six years ago and moved to this country with his parents, when about two years old.
Short funeral services were conducted at his late residence. Interment took place at the McKeever Cemetery, where short services were held, conducted by Rev. Miles, of the Presbyterian church.
