Lewis Henry Boyd was born in Muskingum county, Ohio, June 29, 1849, and died at the residence of his brother, John, in Mingo, Sunday March 23, 1913. He was a man who filled a useful but unobtrusive and modest niche in his orbit; was for 30 years past a faithful member of the M. E. church and an honest man. His fatal malady was a lingering gastric trouble with which he had suffered more than two years. The funeral was from the M. E. church at Mingo, yesterday, Rev. Williams, of St. Charles, his former pastor, conducted the service and he was laid to rest in McKeever cemetery beside his father. He was unmarried, and was a brother of J. H. Boyd, of this city.

Died of Stomach Trouble
Henry Boyd died at Mingo at about 4:30 a.m. Sunday of stomach trouble which he had suffered for years. He was feeling in usual health Saturday. In the morning and again at noon he enjoyed a hearty meal. At supper time he did not feel like eating and partook of very little nourishment. During the night he became sick and his condition developed so rapidly as to cause death in a few hours. He was in his 64th year of age and leaves eight brothers and two sisters with other relatives.
Funeral services were held in Mingo at 1:30 Wednesday and interment was made in McKeever’s cemetery. He was well known to scores of people in this end of the county.
The brothers residing in this city and present at the funeral are Harvey, Ed, and Jess and sister Charity. A brother Mohlon of Audubon, was also present
