Henry Havens, who fell from a wagon on Thursday afternoon at his home, 1 ½ miles east of Colfax and received injuries which developed into paralysis of his entire system from the neck down, died Saturday morning and was interred the same day at Slaughter’s grave yard. He was 69 years old, and leaves a wife and family. He was a veteran of the late civil war and was drawing a pension of $30 which would soon have been increased to $70 per month.
