John Adams Rites At Colfax Sunday
Colfax – Funeral services for John E. Adams, 63, of Kansas City, Mo., will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Walters Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Donald Glazier, minister of the Mingo and Farrar Methodist Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in McKeever Cemetery near Colfax.
Mr. Adams will lie in state at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Sunday.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two sons, DeWayne Adams of Des Moines and Eldon Adams of Santa Maria, Calif.; a daughter, Mary Belle Davis of Aurora, Colo.; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Nicholson and Mrs. Goldie Bradford, both of Independence, Mo.; and a brother, Clifford C. Adams of Kansas City, Mo.
Mr. Adams, a former resident of Colfax and the son of Mr. and Mrs. William S. Adams, died Thursday at Kansas City, Mo.
In reporting the death to Walters Funeral Home at Colfax Friday, A Kansas City Mortuary incorrectly reported that the name of the deceased was William S. Adams.
