The friends and neighbors of Mrs. L. M. Thomasson, filled the Methodist Church, Wednesday afternoon to pay their respects to one of Monroe’s most gifted women.

Apparently in good health, she and her daughter had driven to Farrar Sunday afternoon, preparatory to the opening of school Monday. It was while visiting with friends that the attack came which claimed her life.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. George E. Pennington at 2:00 p.m.
Music was furnished by Mrs. R. B. Gloyd, Mrs. Wm. Lewis, Mary Crane and Mrs. Cornie Huigen.
