Mrs. Sarah Wagner, mother of Mrs. Taylor Slaughter, was stricken with paralysis last Saturday evening, and died on Sunday morning at 8 o’clock. Funeral services were held from her late home in Mound Prairie township, Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Popplewell, and the body was laid to rest in the Rorabaugh cemetery.
Mrs. Wagner was born in 1822, and had been a resident of Jasper county thirty-five years. She leaves, besides her husband, who is 87 years old, three of the ten children born to them.
