Francis Thomas Leach Died At Marion, Ia.
Native of Colfax; Funeral Services To Be Held Here Friday
Francis Thomas Leach, 76, died at Marion, Iowa, Monday, July 14th, following a short illness. Due to injuries received when he accidently fell into a well and struck his head a heavy blow some twenty years ago, his health had been impaired.
Mr. Leach was a native of Colfax and in his adult life followed the vocation of a well driller. He lived in this vicinity the major portion of his life, only the last few years residing in other parts of the state.
He was a member of the Colfax Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Nora Leach, who is a resident of Colfax, four daughters, Lillian Mendenhall of Oskaloosa, Ia., Myrtle Lambkin of California, Mrs. Ruth Hansen of Des Moines, Dorothy Martin of California, Francis Leach Jr. of California, George Leach and Elzy Leach of Minnesota. One brother, Ross O. Leach and ten grandchildren, other relatives and friends also mourn his passing.
Private funeral services will be held at the Bumgardner Chapel at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Rorabaugh cemetery.
