Mrs. Bertha Britton Died At Newton
Mrs. Bertha Huss Britton, 77, died Thursday evening, May 25th at her home in Newton, where she had been living recently.
Mrs. Britton spent most of her life in the Colfax vicinity and was one of 13 children born to Mr. and Mrs. George Curry of Colfax.
She was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are one son, Floyd Huss of Los Angeles, Cal., a granddaughter, Mrs. C. R. Olsen of Los Angeles; four sisters, Mrs. Susie Meckley, Colfax; Mrs. W. A. Kinart, Newton; Mrs. Pearl Tabor, Colfax; Mrs. Sadie Durham, Ann Arbor, Mich.; and three brothers, Clarence Curry, Mitchellville, Frank Curry, Washington state and Earl Curry of Newton.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Toland Funeral Home in Newton with Rev. E. A. Briggs officiating.
Burial was in the Rorabaugh cemetery.
