Little Loren Joseph Dodd Called
The death of little Loren Joseph Dodd came as a great shock to his host of little friends. As a result of a fall and a wound upon the head, this little lad passed away on Sunday evening at the age of four years and three months. He was born December 28th 1818 and died March 30th, 1924.
“Joey” as he was familiarly called had an unusually attractive personality. His sunny smile was known and loved by all who knew or saw him. All through the intense suffering of his final illness, his patience and pluck never failed. He was a bright star in the home and his beautiful disposition will have a lasting influence among his relatives and friends.
(Poem was not included)
The funeral at the home of the sorrowing parents was attended by a large number of friends on Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. F. __ conducted the service and despite the very bad roads a large number also followed the remains to the resting place in the Rorabaugh cemetery.
There remain to mourn the passing of this little lad, his Mother and Father, an older sister Virginia and a younger brother Willard, his grandparents and a large number of other relatives.
