Mrs. Martin was a woman who found friends wherever she went and was always ready to help in trouble or need. The last few years of her life she spent in travel, living in Florida in the winter months and in and around Des Moines in the summer months.
She passed to the world beyond after six months of illness at the home of her son Wesley at Dayton, Florida, Aril 30th, 1925 at the age of 66 years, 3 months and 5 days.
To mourn her loss are her son Wesley and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The remains were accompanied to Des Moines by her son, arriving there Wednesday and the body laid in state at Harback’s funeral parlors and being brought here Thursday at 2 o’clock at the Valeria Methodist church, being conducted by Rev. Miller of Mitchellville. Burial at the Sams cemetery.
