Rosie R. Moore, 88, of Newton died Saturday, May 21, 2005, in the Monarch Wing of Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. Michael Dack of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Newton officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery.

The family will greet friends immediately following the burial with a coffee time at the funeral home. Memorials will be accepted to the Congregational United Church of Christ or the Monarch Wing of Skiff Medical Center and may be left at the funeral home.

The daughter of Henry J. and Dorthea C. (Hoerling-Hurling) Bohne, she was born Sept. 25, 1916, in Chehalis, Wash. She graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1934. On Aug. 31, 1940, she married Fred A. Moore in Newton. She was a homemaker and owned and operated Moore Tool and Die for more than 50 years.

Mrs. Moore was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Newton, Newton Moose Lodge No. 923 and La Femmes of American Legion Post 111.

She is survived by two sons, Randy (Donna) Moore and Gary Moore, all of Newton; a daughter, Nancy Bowie of Newton; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Henry and Richard Bohne and Robert Bohne in infancy; four sisters, Florence Brantner, Sophie Byal, Elsie Loper and Marie Bohne.
