Claudia E. Udelhoven, 92, of Newton died Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Memorial services will be held today at 11 a.m. at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. M.K. Hoesch of Grace Lutheran Church in Newton officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.

The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service today. Memorials will be accepted to Grace Lutheran Church or to Hospice/Home Care of Jasper County and may be left at the funeral home.

The daughter of John Henry and Ada Lucenath (Johnston) Lackey, she was born March 28, 1911, in Madrid. She married Willard D. Udelhoven in 1956 in Newton and was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting and the N.Y. Yankees.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Dixie and William Zegers of Newton; two step-sons and a daughter-in-law, James and Carol Udelhoven of Edgerton, Wis., and Leroy Udelhoven of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two step-daughters, Lula Belle Tuescher of Janesville, Wis., and Mary Margaret Fuertenberg of Rewey, Wis.; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, John and Louise Lackey of Marshalltown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and three sisters.
