CHARLES CITY -- Alice Tetzloff, 90, formerly of Colwell, and Port Charles in Charles City, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Park Centre in Newton.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today at the Colwell United Church of Christ in Colwell with the Rev. Gale Richards officiating. Burial was in Beckwith Cemetery in Colwell. Fullerton-Hage Funeral Home in Charles City is handling arrangements.
Memorials will be accepted to the American Breast Cancer Society or the Colwell United Church of Christ.

The daughter of William Henry and Fanny (Brown) Linn, she was born October 13, 1913 in Baxter. In June of 1934 she was united in marriage to Glen Russell Tetzloff in Mitchell County. She was a homemaker and a farmer's wife. She enjoyed gardening, reading and solving crossword puzzles, sewing and tending to her strawberry patch. She was a member of the Colwell United Church of Christ, a 4-H leader, Sunday school teacher, employed as the Colwell City Clerk, the ladies aide.

Survivors include her four children, Robin Tetzloff of Bolingbrook, Ill., Phil Tetzloff of Marshalltown, Sharon Byers of Long Prairie, Minn., and Mary Appleby of Newton; eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 12 siblings and her parents.
