Lois Louise Bisom, 95, of 1004 First Ave. E. died of heart failure Friday, Feb. 20, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Newton with the Rev. Stephen Mathison-Bowie officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery. Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorial will be accepted in her name to the First Presbyterian Church.

The daughter of Lloyd Toney and Byrtle (Hullinger-Crockett) Toney, she was born Dec. 3, 1908, in Davis City. She graduated from high school in Davis City in 1926 and attended beauty school in Fargo, N.D. On July 2, 1927, she married Iden Bisom in Des Moines. She was a dress buyer for Wolf's Clothing in Des Moines for 15 years and retired in 1975. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Newton Women's club, Skiff Auxiliary and Jasper County Republican Women. She lived in Oak Park, Ill., St. Louis, Mo., Des Moines and Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Myrl Martin; and her stepfather, Guy Crockett.
