PELLA - Lois Arlene (Vos) Stallinga, 70, of Pella, formerly of Sully, died Monday, Nov. 24, at Hospice of Pella Comfort House.

Funeral services were held today at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Pella.

The daughter of James and Wilma (Jansen) Vos, she was born Jan. 5, 1933, north of Sully. She attended the Sinter Country Grade School in Jasper County and later graduated from Pella High School. On July 21, 1953, she married Melvin H. Vos in Sully. She was a homemaker and seamstress for Wormhoudt and Kempkes Clothing Store in Pella. In 1979, she obtained a L. P. N. degree from DMACC in Ankeny. She worked at the Pella Nursing Home from 1980 to 1982.

On Nov. 20, 1982, she married Wilmer A. Stallinga in Pella. They moved to Illinois for several years where she resumed her career in nursing. In 1984 she retired and lived in the Chicago area for eight years. The couple returned to Pella in 1990. She volunteered for the Work of Our Hands and the clothing bank in Pella.

Mrs. Stalling was a member of Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Pella. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and reading.

Survivors include her husband, Will of Pella; three children and their spouses, Bruce M. and Sandy K. Vos of Pella, Bonnie L. Vos of Ventura, Calif., and David M. and Brenda L. Vos of Ames; three grandchildren; her mother of Pella; three brothers and two sisters, Ronald and Lucille Vos of Altoona, Harris and Darlene Vos of Newton, Linda and Gene Vos of Pella, Jerry and LaVonne Vos of Monroe, Louse and Ed Conover of Trout Run, Penn.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Kenneth D. Vos.
