Robert J. Lust Sr., 75, of 2997 E. 19th St. N. died Monday, Dec. 15, at Heritage Manor Care Center in Newton.

No services are scheduled. The body has been cremated. Wallace Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

The family will greet friends during a coffee time Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials will be accepted in his name and may be left at the funeral home.

The son of Henry and Eva (Richards) Lust, he was born July 30, 1928, in Newton. He graduated from Newton Senior High School. On Aug. 8, 1948, he married Donna Bumsted in Newton. He was a lab technician for Maytag for 37 years. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Lust was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.

Survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Jr. and Patty Lust and Rick E. Lust, all of Newton; one daughter, Linda Lear of Newton; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Lust of Newton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
