Joan Loiselle, 61, of Newton died Sunday, Nov. 9, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

No services are scheduled. Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements.

Memorials will be accepted to Hospice of Jasper County and may be left at the funeral home.

The daughter of William Howard and Frances M. (Anderson) Aldrich, she was born Sept. 26, 1942, in Waukee. She was a graduate of Castle Rock High School in Colorado. She was a home maker and enjoyed fixing things. Before moving to Newton in 1998, she lived in Cedaredge, Colo.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Loiselle of Des Moines and Matt Loiselle of San Francisco, Calif.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy Loiselle of San Francisco, Calif., Debbie and David Garza Jr. of Newton and Kathy and Roby Gamboa of San Ramon, Calif.; four grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Kim Aldrich and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jim Aldrich, and her step-father, Bob Saunders.
