MONROE -- Mina Faye Clark, 97, of Monroe died Friday, Dec. 19, at Hospice Comfort House in Pella.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Monroe Community of Christ Church. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, at 2 p.m. at the Ackland/Dunreath Cemetery in Marion County with Elder Stephen A. Friedman officiating. The body has been cremated.

Memorials will be accepted to the Hospice of Pella/Comfort House.

The daughter of Albert Lieuwes and Jane (Breen) Dykstra, she was born Jan. 23, 1906, near Otley. She lived all but 10 years of her life in Marion County. She was raised on a farm and enjoyed farm life. She married Joseph Upright Clark on Aug. 1, 1943.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Jeannette M. Moore and Helen M. Reidel; a brother, Louis A. Dykstra; and a granddaughter.

Survivors include her five children and their spouses, all living in the Monroe area, David V. and Joann Clark, Daisy P. and LaVerne Young, Paul Y. Clark, Milo R. and Janet Clark, and Jane S. and Stephen Friedman; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
