Mrs. Mary Vander Waal passed away April 30th in her home in Des Moines at the age of 88 years. She was the daughter of the late Ruard Vander Ploeg. She is survived by two daughters, Marie Vander Waal and Mrs. Ferguson, one son, Roy Vander Waal. Her husband and Mr. Morton Vander Waal, a son, preceded her in death. She is also survived by one grandson, Rolly and by sisters, Mrs. Simon De Haan of Pella, Mrs. J. H. Cochrane of Des Moines, Mrs. J. W. Huyser of Pella, and one brother, Watson H. Vander Ploeg of Battle Creek, Mich.
Burial was in Monroe, Iowa, Saturday, May 2.
