Larry Eugene Walker, age 75 of Center City, Minnesota passed away Friday, December 25, 2020. He was a 1963 graduate of Monroe High School in Monroe, Iowa and received his degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University in 1971.

Larry was born on March 15, 1945 in Monroe, Iowa to Forrest “Jack” and Wanda Walker. He has one sister, Janice Cook (Monroe, Iowa) and two brothers, Jim Walker (Prairie City, Iowa) and Roger Walker (Ellendale, Minnesota).

Larry married Janet King (also of Monroe) in January, 1964. They lived in various locations before settling in Center City, Minnesota. He and Janet wintered in Harlingen, Texas for the past six years.

For more than thirty years, Larry was a well-regarded engineering management consultant; was an avid collector, auction attendee, fisherman, and enjoyed listening to music and playing his harmonica.

Larry and Janet have three children: Brenda (Rusty) Norlander (Dresser, Wisconsin), Wendy (John) Kobe (Cottage Grove, Minnesota) and Craig (Julie) Walker (Lindstrom, Minnesota).

He is survived by his wife, three children, six grandchildren: Kayla, Kody, Hayley, Joe, Jack, and Will and two great grandchildren: Logan and Kennedy; his siblings and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Dean Cook, and sister-in-law Barb (Reese) Walker.

Celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date when COVID restrictions are lifted.
