Stroke Causes Death of Aged Resident
Following a stroke of apoplexy which he suffered May 16, De Wit Hamilton, aged 77 years, passed away May 30, at the home of his nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Hamilton, 310 Liberty Street. Funeral services were conducted at the home Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock, being in charge of Rev. H. C. Jacobs, with interment in Monroe cemetery.
For the last six years the deceased had resided with his nephew, making his home at Newton, until the family recently moved here, where Mr. Hamilton has employment at the Woodrow plant. He was born in Michigan. No near relatives with the exception of nephews and nieces survive him.
