Services For Clyde Wright In Newton
Clyde Johnson Wright, son of Joseph P. and Jennie Hubbell Wright was born February 11, 1881 near Monroe, Iowa.
He was united in marriage to Sue Trussler, February 28, 1906 and to this union two sons were born.
They lived on the farm where he was born until he was thirty-nine years of age. Later they moved to a farm northwest of Knoxville where they resided for eight years. They then returned to Jasper County, living on a farm near Newton.
Mr. Wright, age 60 years, 8 months, 23 days, passed away November 4, 1941 at the Skiff Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for twenty-six days.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Milton C. of Monroe, Iowa, Dale B. of Newton and one grandson, Warren D. Also two sisters, Mrs. Henry Balmer, and Miss Ada Wright of Indianola, Iowa.
His parents, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Oak Ridge Grange.
Funeral rites were conducted on Thursday, November 6th in Newton at the Morgan Funeral Home by Rev. Elmer Patterson of the Monroe Methodist Church.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Wm. Lewis and Mrs. R. B. Gloyd. Pallbearers were Robt. Breckenridge, Mac Edge, Fred Longfellow, Glen Hesson, Bert Shaffer and Everett Edge. In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Fred Longfellow, Mrs. Robt. Breckenridge and Mrs. Mac Edge.
Interment was in the Monroe Cemetery.
