J. Stiernemann Dies Suddenly
Death Comes to Otley Man As He Is On His Way Home
John Q. Stiernemann died very suddenly Monday evening at 6:20 o’clock in Otley, falling over backwards near a garage on his way home. Heart failure was the cause of his death. His age was 59 years, four months and 29 days. When stricken, he was carried home by two of his neighbors and his son Jacob. His death is a shock to the entire community.
Mr. Stiernemann was born at Otley on April 23, 1875. He was married to Sophia May Breen on Sept. 23, 1903, and had lived until next Sunday it would have been their 31st anniversary. He is survived by his widow, son Jacob at home, his aged mother Mrs. Jacob Stiernemann of Otley, a sister Mrs. Minnie McChurch of Des Moines, a nephew Leon J. Baker of Des Moines and a niece Mrs. Helen Barr of Monroe.
Funeral services are to be held today at Otley and interment will be at Monroe.
