Monroe News – Neal Shafer, 81, passed away at the home of his son, Roy Shafer, Wednesday, January 31. A weak heart and asthmatic condition was the cause of his unexpected death, as he was ill only one day. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Crumpacker Funeral home. Rev. Patterson of the Methodist Church was in charge of the services.
