Ramer, Mamie M. McCoy – 1889-1940

Mamie M. McCoy, daughter of John and Etta McCoy was born in Calhoun county near Rockwell City May 5, 1889, and passed away November 30, 1940, at the age of 51 years, 6 month and 15 days.
She was united in marriage to James L. Ramer, March 22, 1914. To this union two children were born. Mrs. Dessie Brodersen of Monroe and Mrs. Vyrlee Mick of Reasnor.
With the exception of one year, their married life was spent on their farm near Galesburg.
Mrs. Ramer had been in poor health for some time, and she quietly passed away Saturday evening at nine o’clock. She was converted in early life in the Christian church at Morgan Valley, later bringing her membership to the Methodist church at Galesburg where she has always given active service.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, two children, four grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Carter of Monroe and Mrs. Frank Herwehe of Percy, one brother, Jay McCoy of Vandalia, and a host of relatives and friends.
Nephews serving as pallbearers were Verlin Carter, Raymond Wicker, Karl Herwehe, Wilbur Ramer, Martin and Clifford Dearinger.
Mrs. C. Breen and Miss Blanche Butin were in charge of the flowers.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hodson of Des Moines.
