Cordova News by Grace Karr - Cordova (Dec. 16) – Calvin Miller of Colfax died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1964 at a Newton hospital after a heart attack. His funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, 1964, at Colfax Christian Church and burial was at Vandalia cemetery.
He leaves his wife, Hazel Smith (a sister of Mrs. Berlin Ballard), and 5 children with Freddie and Connie at home. His father also survives, and four brothers (one Everett Muller of near Dunreath), four sisters and 5 grandchildren. He was born at Percy. He spent his life on the farm as a farmer except these last years at Maytag.
On Nov. 10, 1936 he was married to Hazel Smith at Ivy. He was a member of the Colfax Christian Church.
