Newton Rites For Mrs. Shaw
Newton, IA – Services for Mrs. William [Willis] Shaw, 82, who died at Skiff Hospital Sunday, will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the First Methodist Church. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. John M. Nolin and Mrs. Leslie Bean, both of Des Moines; Mrs. V. E. Grant of Newton and Mrs. J. A. Mayhew of Kansas City, Mo., five grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Methodist Church, past president of the Women’s Relief Corps, past president of the Polk County Democratic Women’s Club, past president of the Jasper County Democratic Central committee, a member of the Royal Neighbors and the Three Quarter Century Club.
