Thomas J. Eatwell, Rout 3, Died
Thomas J. Eatwell, 59, Route 3, died about 10:40 p.m. Tuesday in a Des Moines hospital, where he had been taken Sunday. He had been in ill health since April.
Born in Mingo, he came to Ames in 1942. He was employed in the agronomy department at Iowa State College.
He was a member of the Campus Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Eva; a daughter, Mrs. Carl Hildreth of Ankeny; four brothers, Frank, John and Alfred, all of Mingo and Carl of Marshalltown; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Setzer of Nevada, Mrs. Edna Giesler and Mrs. Ruth Hall, both of Mingo.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Camus Baptist Church. The Rev. Milton Dowden, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial is to be in Graham Cemetery at Mingo.
The body will lie in state at the Adams Funeral Home until time for services.
