Arthur Lenz Found Dead in Kellogg
Kellogg (Special) – Arthur A. Lenz, 66, resident of the Kellogg community since 1902, was found dead in the basement of his home Monday evening by a nephew, Louis Lenz.
Coroner L. D. Norris said the time of death was sometime Sunday afternoon. He was last seen by neighbors Sunday morning. Death was attributed to a heart condition.
Mr. Lenz was born in Germany to Ferdinand and Carolyn Lenz April 18, 1887, and came to the United States at the age of 12 where he lived with his parents on a farm near Laurel. They moved to a farm near Kellogg in 1902.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul’s Lutheran church with the Rev. Carlton Rohr officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul’s cemetery.
Survivors are two brothers, Gustave of Newton and Otto of Oklahoma, and a number of nieces and nephews.
