Mingo – Lloyd R. Hulbert, 63, of Mingo died of lung cancer Sunday, Jan. 27, at his home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday a 10:30 a.m. at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax with the Rev. Jill Flyr officiating. Burial will be at McKeever Cemetery in Colfax.
Friends may call today at the funeral home where family will be available from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The son of Pearl L. and Vesta M. Heaverlo Hulbert, he was born Feb. 3, 1938, in Beacon. He attended schools in the Allison area. On Nov. 16, 1980, he married Beverly Clipston in Livermore. He worked as a mechanic for Herman M. Brown in Des Moines and also worked for Prairie Meadows until he retired in 1999.
Survivors include his wife; five sons and two daughters-in-law, Bart Allen of Waverly, Brett Albert and Paul James, both of Greeley, Colo., Thomas Lloyd and Tonda and Brian Lee and Kelley, all of Baxter; a daughter, Nancy Judith Dahlke (Drew) of Mingo; three step-children, Michael and Mark Wait and Margo Ferguson; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert of Cedar Falls and Roscoe of Shell Rock; and three sisters, Joy Sperl of Sherrill, Georgia Eilers of Clarksville and Margie George of Shell Rock.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
