Margaret Billingsley, Services Held
Funeral services for Margaret Billingsley, 81, a longtime resident of Colfax and a longtime bookkeeper at the Colfax Sales Barn, still active at the time of her death, were held on Monday, August 22, at the Colfax Presbyterian Church. Coburn Funeral Home of Colfax was in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Clayton Sugg, pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in the McKeever Cemetery, north of Colfax.
Organist was Barbara Monroe. Soloist was JoAnn Orthel. Solo: “O Master Let Me Walk With Thee”.
Casket bearers: Bob Heemsbergen, Bob Aalbers, Dan Aalbers, Dwaine Bos and Dale Trout.
Survivors are a sister, Cora Mae Clark Grote of Clinton; a special friend, Eleanor Howell of Colfax; and five nieces.
She was preceded in death by her mother Cora Clark.
She was a member of the Colfax Presbyterian Church and a former member of the church’s board of trustees.
She was born July 6, 1913 in Tarkio, Mo., and was a 1931 graduate of Colfax Community High School.
