Maxine "Max" Elaine Moore, 59, of #3 S. Hampton Ct. in Newton died Monday, March 15, at her home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:20 p.m. at Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held Thursday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Maxine's name.

The daughter of William L. and Della Walker-Moore, she was born Nov. 25, 1944, in Newton. She was a graduate of the Newton Senior High School Class of 1963. She graduated from the Iowa School of Beauty in Des Moines. She was a lifelong resident of Newton and was a self-employed beautician for 30 years. She attended the Foursquare Church in Newton and enjoyed music and her piano.

Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Carol Moore of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
