Wilson, Lucy

Mrs. Lucy Wilson, for many years a resident of Palo Alto Township, died in McLouth, Kan., after a brief illness. Her age was 74 years.

She and her two sons, Alletus and Licurgus, came from Morrow County, Ohio, to Palo Alto Township in 1856, where they lived until 1879, and then moved to Kansas. She had been making her home with her son Alletus. She was a sister to Isaac Bennett of Palo Alto Township.

She will be remembered by many here as an excellent Christian woman ­ a member of the U. B. Church from her childhood. Both of her sons are still living. ~ The Newton Record Thursday, May 4, 1899
